When I was about 17 I started taking a Shorin Ryu class. Most of the students there were men but they treated me with respect and were always very polite. The friend who I started walking there from school with began to get a little more flirty. A little annoying but I tried to ignore it until one day before class he outright said he wanted to be more than friends.

All of this was said very politely because I genuinely didn't want to hurt his feelings. Immediately the vibe changed. He got really red in the face and stormed off to change for sparring class.

Being hot headed is not going to get them anywhere but jail if they just lash out violently because they can't or refuse to express themselves verbally regarding the subject that upsepts them.
