Someone recently told me to delay tubes in ears until all of the child’s teeth come in. For their child, the ear infections stopped once all their teeth came in. Anyone else know about this? I want to avoid tubes if possible, but don’t want my guy miserable either.

Consider the impact of the recurrent infections on their hearing/language development, repeated antibiotic exposure, and on their personality/feeling of security being left in pain repeatedly. Our son had 10 ear infections in one year, from 12-24 months. He got tubes... he was suddenly cuddly, relaxed and so much happier.

Hearing is directly related to speech development, not to mention ear infections are freaking miserable. It’s a super quick procedure and most times the safest fix for frequent ear infections in kiddos. Plus baby teeth come in all the way up until 3-3 1/2 years old.

At 12 months, the surgeon said the tubes were clogged and they needed to put more tubes in. I decided to go another route. We went to a 7th Day Adventist clinic, and the doctor there put her on a vegan diet. She stayed on that diet for a year and never had another infection! It didn’t hurt her development one bit. 20 小時內	Megan Wyatt Skagen megws	My one kid didn’t get the last of her teeth until like 3 1/2 and she had to go to speech at 2 because she couldn’t hear for a bit because of all the ear infections she had previous to getting her tubes. You could be waiting awhile for all the teeth to come in and messing up your child’s speech.
