The justification that stupid people have for having children: "it's so I have someone to care for me when I'm elderly." Newsflash: Your kids don't want to care for you when you're old. They will go out of their way to palm you off into a care home or sheltered accommodation so they aren't burdened with you. Preferably the cheapest option because all they really want is to maximise their inheritance. Unpopular opinion but please never make the mistake that your children will be there for you.

5 分鐘內	Kate Edwards calicokate13	It is sad, and I'm not saying I think this personally, but it happens far too often. In our culture in Western society, we don't care about our elderly. They're a burden. And when they need extra care or nursing homes they're draining our inheritance. People live too long now. 50 years ago when the pension ages were set you weren't expected to live beyond 70. Now people who retired at 60 are still alive 30 years later and it's draining resources. The government needed you dead 20 years ago!
