A year ago today, I had my right hip replaced here in Scotland. It was done via the private healthcare provided by my employer. I had a 2 night hospital stay, physio and medication provided. The entire bill came to £12,500. I paid £0. So why are my USA hippies seeing bills over $70/80k for the exact same surgery, no hospital stay and massive deductibles of thousands of dollars?
