Couple years ago I gave an older woman a ride home from our local Meijer (she was waiting for the bus with a cart full of Christmas presents and I heard her mention that the bus wouldn’t be there for more than an hour and a half, so I offered). The point, though, is that I knew it could be odd or scary, so we texted her daughter to let her know I was giving her mom a ride with my name, a picture of me and one of my car with the license plate clearly visible. Maybe if guys did this? Thoughts?

5 小時內	candace lawrence cantia9	This happened to me years ago. My radiator ran hot and my car shut off on my way home from work with my daughter in the car with me, she may have been 4 at the time. A man pulled up behind me and came to offer me a ride home. I was really apprehensive but he was in a military outfit, and he told me to contact my family and give them his drivers license number ( back then it was your SSN), and license plate number as well . He moved my car off the road and we made it home safely.

One single man doing a good thing is fine, but it will not change anything. To be an ally, you have to start calling out the behaviour of other men, loudly, repeatedly, even if they are your friends. Men don't listen to women, but they will listen to other men. So if you want us to feel safe, start calling it out whenever you see it.
