I messaged the hotel we plan on staying at to find out if it would be possible to check in early—before 3 PM. We will have been traveling to the US internationally and will be arriving at about 9 AM. This was their response… Please note that early check-in fees are as follows: $75.00 plus tax from 7 AM to 11 AM and $30.00 plus tax from 11 AM to 3 PM. Early check-in fees?!?! That’s a thing we’re ok with now? Money grabbers gotta grab. 🙄highcostofliving

6 小時內	Julie Dowd tapioca_et_cassonade	Wow, the hostile and insulting comments…I do request early check in when flying internationally, and I often request late check out. However, it does help a lot to have a membership with the hotel group, if applicable. I often use the IHG group hotels myself and it is a perfectly normal request with them. Good luck!

Would you want checkout times to be changed to 6:00 am to accommodate morning folks. Do you think guests just turn off the lights when leaving and the room is magically cleaned and available for the next person? I really have so many question about the logic here.

17 小時內	urbancoyote1	American's seem used to be shafted at every opportunity, given the comments. No this isnt normal. In Europe a hotel will look after your bags free of charge for early check-ins. You are already giving them $100s for your stay, the least they can do is look after your bags for free to help you out. They literally sit in an empty cupboard ffs!
18 小時內	Shelley raven_nn82	Some of these replies are weird as fuck. I used to be a cleaner in a hotel and unless you were airline staff with a set arrival time, nothing upset our cleaning schedules. We did what we knew was to be done by a certain time, then did the rest of the rooms after. If you turn up early as a guest, reception called to ask if that room allocated was done, if not we'd let them know which are done so the guest can be put in that one instead. No charge. People are so pissy these days..christ..
