This is hard…my husband & I are 75 now and this is the very first year that we are not decorating or putting up a tree for Christmas. Our hearts and souls are just not in it this year. We were so optimistic earlier. Just so gutted. Anyone else feel this way?

Christmas morning will find us with family spoiling our granddaughter and living the spirit of Christmas. MAGA be damned!

It is amazing how much Christmas brightness can be lovely without a tree. Make some other lovely focal point, with greens, lights, red ribbons. The trees are super expensive this year. It sounds sad to be ending a tradition, but in fact you could set up a smaller tree next year. I did that after not having one a couple of years. Good luck!
