Honey, it depends on the situation! I can’t get drug coverage on Medicare because I’m not yet 65 but I’m totally disabled! The only way I can get drug coverage is through Medigap coverage so fuck off!

Turning 65 next year. From what I've picked up, in a nut shell, seems the best to do is get Medicare A and B, keep present insurance as supplemental (who I've always liked) for meds and others stuff that comes up. No yearly HMO hassles, or doctor coverage issues. Still feeling my way, though.

I’ve paid for nothing in 8 years…no copays, all screenings and treatments covered, all RX’s covered, all hearing and vision covered and dental covered. I also get free OTC things every quarter..therein lies the advantage

It's called Medicare DisAdvantage because it's actually privatized Medicare with all that entails: denials, pre-existing conditions, medical necessity reviews, etc. Don't fall for the hype in the commercials... Original Medicare saves lives...

My husband just applied for Medicare and everyone tells him Advantage is just a scam.

I spent a night in the hospital, multiple tests, and paid absolutely nothing. Hubby had a prostatectomy and we paid $240. So I’d say so far so good 🤷‍♀️

If people keep taking Medicare advantage insurance they quit having regular Medicare and they will privatize it. The for profit companies will be able to charge what ever they want and drop your insurance anytime they want and refuse to pay when they want because they have very little regulation. So advantage plans may sound good but that is to suck you in.

Medicare Advantage is an insurance company scam. Their marketing says Medicare Advantage also commonly called Medicare Part C! False advertising!! Stick with regular Medicare Part C and shop the right plan. The only advantage is for the insurance companies.
