So this happened recently when my family and I, including our 6 month infant were traveling from Chennai to Seattle via Singapore Changi. At the airport we stopped by coffeebeanandtealeaf and bought coffee worth 32 Singapore dollars. Our baby was getting fussy and we were carrying frozen breast milk. So we asked them for a cup of hot water to warm it up. One guy was ready to provide it but the other one looked at him and signaled him to not give it. We asked again and they pointed 1/2

I quickly came back now panicking and anxious coz I didn’t know what to do. We asked again, and they still refused. My husband became furious and snapped at the barista demanding the hot water for a payment. They then asked us to pay a dollar and provided the hot water which we would have done if mentioned in the first place!

11 小時內	Garrie Lim flumpet	I’m Singaporean and I think you need to provide abit of context as to why they did that. Is it store policy to give hot water? Maybe they did it before and someone complained the water was too hot and scalded their baby? Hot water from a coffee shop may not be the same temperature as hot water from a dispenser set at a fixed temperature in a baby room. I’m a parent as well and I understand the frustration u went thru, but there are always reasons why things are the way they are.
