I was placed on a performance improvement plan, but the issues causing my poor performance are not primarily due to my actions. Furthermore, my role and capabilities do not allow me to resolve these issues. The HR department has put me on the PIP, requiring me to improve within four months. However, I believe it is impossible for me to make significant improvements in areas I cannot handle. Thus, upon learning about it, I immediately began looking for a new job.

PIP's used to be used as a tool to help create a very structured/organized coaching plan for associates that struggles in their roles. Nowadays, it's used for very different reasons.

Not exactly. Basically you will be given a plan to improve certain areas. After a given number of months , you will be testified. If you performance is as per the expectation, you will be retained. Just be confident and not leave even a single stone unturned.
