The problem is more people are taking out than putting in, and the government has been borrowing the money over the years. That said, If they even try to reduce benefits you will see another 1776, as almost every American has been paying in their whole working lives. Everyone says tax the rich, and I’m not for that, but they don’t withhold SS taxes after 176k of earnings, which I consider unfair even though I’m close to the threshold.

Yes he will cut all the bureaucracy from those programs. I am very happy somebody has decided to take this on.
