A couple of weeks ago I met with a specialist doctor at St Vincent’s Hospital to discuss my significant, rapid and unexpected weight loss earlier this year. Today I had a gastroscopy to make sure there’s nothing wrong with my throat, oesophagus or stomach (there wasn’t). Total cost? Nothing, because I happily pay the Medicare levy (2% of my taxable income) each year. Thank fuck I don’t live in the USA. Free Luigi

20 小時內	Margaret Alexevich margiex.lex	Yep. I had a routine (5 yearly) gastroscopy/colonoscopy yesterday (family history) and the procedure and anesthesia cost nothing out of pocket, nada, zip. All good. And the hospital phoned as is their protocol to check in that I was fine.
