Why do British people make lame gags about their "five a day" and think that tight shorts teamed with a soccer shirt is an acceptable outfit for a restaurant?

Why do Americans call the element denoted as Al: aluminum? Do they also refer to other elements as He: helum, Li: lithum, Be: beryllum, Na: sodum, Mg: magnesum, K: potassum and Ca: calcum? (I could go on, but my spell checker now hates me…)

Aluminium has had three names over the time it’s been known of. The problem is that different countries name it differently so all three names are used although only Aluminium is the internationally recognised spelling.

The problem with Americans is that because they are not a race and never be!
