Yeah but making yourself a victim is not making it any better. Lot of highly efficient ADHD’ers out there. Start by cutting out social media so you give your brain less stress and try to find things that passionate you. Also cut off unnecessary interaction with people that you don’t need in your life. Usually it’s just a response of the brain to your surroundings and once you change those to a point were you are comfortable the brain will be able to think more slowly.

I prefer to have it than be a neurotypical. We are cool in an emergency and that saves lives. How many neurotypicals can give you a dozen times they saved a life unless they’re a fire fighter or something.

I have ADHD but I don’t let it rule my life. Sure it makes me forgetful of certain things and it’s often hard to recall recent things or remember plans or find the mental energy to do stuff… but it also makes me the funniest person most people know and most of my issues have become more amusing than annoying. It keeps things interesting. And when I get those little bursts of hyper-fixative super power, it is awesome. Don’t be a victim. ADHD can be a superpower if you let it.

I don't get how people can call it a super power. I don't love that I get hyperfocused on an Elvis conspiracy theory deep dive to the point I forget to pee for hours and end up giving myself cystitis.

Quite literally took me 1.5 years and getting back on meds to send an email to my licensing board. 😐

Is it just me or does it seem to be an “in thing” now? Like you’re not cool if you don’t have it, I used to be ashamed to have it and hid it the best I could have… not saying that’s what people should do, personally wouldn’t recommend that but that’s the environment I grew up in.

Oh I don’t know how the rest of the ADHRs feel but …I like to think we put the “Fun” in Executive Functioning with our challenges there in!! 😉🤩😊
