There’s definitely a disparity. I’m not negating that. But most of the time, when I interact with people, they start speaking to me in Portuguese and are really friendly. They usually assume I’m Afro Brazilian until I hit a wall with my Portuguese and explain that I’m American and still learning. It’s always treated warmly and kindly, which feels so different from how things are in the U.S.

You're always be welcome to our country as well as all those who speaks about Brazil without have been here before. USA may have money but we have what you won't have so soon: love for all kind of people, no matter where they were born or the colour of their skin. In Brazil an arab, a jewish, a black and and a palestinian guys can share a beer in peace. As an indian, an asian or an african descendent. Hope one day USA can be like us 🙏🏻

I'm brazillian saying you wrong! Actually, it depends on the context: brazillian minority that support Donald Trump, loves she just because she's north american(USA). But majority likes her because brazillian people usually treats pretty well the tourists of whole world.

That’s not true I am a Nigerian and everyone here treats everyone equally. For the records I don’t even speak Portuguese and my English doesn’t sound anyway American and I always mention my Nigerian nationality and it doesn’t stop them from being so kind and helpful. Brazilians are very welcoming people.
