Seems that we are all talking about H1b Visas and Tech engineers. Big Tech says they can’t be sourced in the USA because the candidates don’t exist in the numbers needed and that we can’t just quickly train them. India produces the most Computer engineers. The price for the education required for the position in India is $24,000. In the USA it is $200,000. Is it time to talk about the cost of education holding us back???

Elon can find the talent in the US he just doesn't want to pay the salaries it would take. Bring in someone from another country and pay them 1/2 what an American would cost.

If you got scholarships, financial aid…the COST was still paid, you understand? You were simply relieved of some of the burden. It DOES cost MORE than 200k, coming from a student currently enrolled full time, mid to low income, and attending a local public college.
