Yeah, I’ve done low skilled jobs, and I’ve been self employed, trying to run a business is harder than making coffee or stacking shelves. I can do one in some very questionable states. That doesn’t mean that people should be in poverty for these jobs, but maybe we need to look at how high rents and energy bills are (energy is more a uk issue first). Forcing the wages up on millions of people who’ll have a massive impact of the cost of running the business. Prices will rise, jobs will be lost.

I don't think that's generally what people mean when they say low/high skilled. Low skilled is usually work that is easily done with minimal to no training, while high skilled can sometimes required years of education and practice and must always be updated!

It’s more so about the fact that people pouring coffee (really not important to society) would be getting paid the same or more than people who hospital workers, first responders and construction workers (very important to society)

True. But they’re also easily replaceable. Work smart not hard.
