Spain is the English name for that country. Most countries have their own way of spelling and pronouncing their country’s name. For example: China is Zhongguo. Spain is Hispania. Latinos were never Hispanic, it was a term given to us by white people. We are Native Americans, even the term Latin was given to us by white people too. That’s part of the effects of colonization on our end.
