The doctor and/or the pharmacist should have caught this before it was submitted to insurance to get a correction or override.

Your mad they denied something the manufacturer of the med says you should not take if your not old enough. Like being mad being told don’t take poison it might kill you

If it’s an age restriction from the manufacturer maybe it’s not safe or hasn’t been studied in the age group. Certain vaccines have not been studied in certain ages of kids so they would not be covered. Sounds like this is about patient safety. Yes, screening databases should trigger alerts for medications prescribed to restricted age groups when the drug is e-prescribed.
