Timothée Chalamet somehow became Bob Dylan. I don’t know how else to say it. Ed Norton captures Pete Seeger in a way that I didn’t think possible. I’ve seen Pete Seeger perform countless times. There are moments in the film that I thought I was looking at and listening to Pete. Monica Babaro as Joan Baez and Elle Fanning as a version of Suze Rotolo, called Sylvie Russo, were both heartbreaking and full of promise. Young women on the cusp of everything that the freewheeling 60s represented. /5

幾秒內	Deb Martin debmartinnyc_nj	The supporting cast, including Eriko Hatsune who plays Toshi Seeger, Pete’s wife, were all well done. I did not detect even a single sour note. The musical performances are stellar. I’m still floored by the fact that they sang direct to camera and didn’t pre-record the soundtrack. They had the benefit of time to learn the music but that is still no small feat. It makes the movie. It’s genuine. It’s heartfelt. And it is a film worth seeing even if you think you don’t like Dylan. Go see it. /fin
