I got jury duty, I’ve done it before and I will happily do it in the future. This time I requested to be excused though, I legitimately don’t have childcare for my 4 kids (all under 3) and they’re not allowed to come with me. My request was denied. How are we okay putting moms in this position?

3 小時內	Angus Allen queerish_gnc_dad	There is a whole section for people who are home carers to be excused. If not say you are breastfeeding and it would cause illness if you aren't excused. That's true because I doubt they want you to miss 30 minutes every 3 hours to pump.

7 小時內	M. 🖤✌🏽 brownwomanrambles	Sadly I’m not surprised. I tried getting excused when I was very heavily pregnant and about to give birth (scheduled induction due to preeclampsia risk). The judge (a woman!!!) told me that wasn’t a valid reason and I’d just have to go in until I gave birth.
