though he was known for his music scene portraits, he wasn’t being hired as a Hollywood celebrity photographer (like Annie Leibovitz). There was still a level up that he had yet to reach. He said that it was because he didnt have enough women in beauty/fashion settings in his portfolio. I asked what he planned to do. He looked at me and turned the question around. He asked, “What would you do?” I responded that I’d do test shots to build up my portfolio. “Exactly,” he said. 2/4

13 小時內	John Raymond Mireles johnmireles	The point is that no matter where we're at in our careers, whether it's just starting out or looking to shoot the cover of Vanity Fair, we need to constantly be producing work for our portfolio. Clients aren't going to pay us to do the work that will help us grow creativeily and professionally so it's up to us to create the work that we need. I'm not saying that we should work for free for clients who can and should pay us money. Not every opportunity comes with money attached however. 3/4
