Flight was delayed a few hours so she was already really cranky when we got on board. Then, we were sitting on the runway for a while before take off, by which time she was bawling. She was never a tantrums and screaming rage toddler but had reached her limit. Guy in front kept huffing & puffing, loudly complaining about having “a screaming kid” near him. I felt awful, I knew how irritating it must be for others and nothing I could do would soothe her. 🧵2

I think about that FAs kindness often. I felt so awful in that moment, and totally understood why the man was cross. Other passengers had been giving me sympathetic looks but it must have been annoying for them too. I get that. But if you’ve ever been in that situation as a parent with a small inconsolable child, it is utterly demoralising and that FA was an angel. Kindness is free and you never know how much your actions can mean to somebody who needs a little kindness. 🧵 FIN
