This morning, on U.K. radio, I listened to the tale of a 37 year old man called Will, involved in a catastrophic, car accident. An air ambulance was called, fire engines and ambulances were dispatched and he was eventually cut out of his vehicle. Whilst being transported to the Royal Sussex County hospital, transfusions were administered, a trauma team was arranged to receive and treat him in surgery and the ICU. He was later sent to Kings, London. Four months later he was discharged. £? = 0

Cheaper to let them die.

My neighbor was in a horrific car accident. She has had numerous surgery as her left side was crushed by a teen driver on his cell phone. She was scheduled 12-17-24 for a knee replacement. When she got there, she was informed her surgery was denied because they did not have a recent xray of her knee. Did I mention she had met her deductible for the year.

Sounds like robotic response

Deplorable. We need a government office to investigate these denials.

We all need to call and write our political representatives.

They are being ridiculous. How on Earth can they not realize that it's medically necessary!?

They know if they deny coverage long enough the patient will be beyond saving.
