For the sake of the argument. My closest goodwill is about a half hour drive. My husband is a Marine and not always home. So an hour round trip drive, with a newborn, to return a toaster I was just trying purchase for cheap. The toaster is likely going in the trash. I am lucky enough to be able to buy the toaster of my liking and not have to worry about whether or not someone is donating broken trash. But I also realize that not everyone is that fortunate.

3 小時內	Carol Hofford carolhofford	I live in a semi rural area. Travel time, gas etc always factor into my shopping choices. Goodwill's have public test stations, testing can be done at the store. Most recent pricing for all small kitchen appliances is $10 to $12. I bought a newer used toaster oven which died after 2 months, I was out $10. I'm still using the old one I was trying to replace. It's 20 years old & still going strong. Old crock pots are worth buying but IMO newer kitchen appliances new or used are poorly made junk.
