Almost there! ADHD and autism are always disabilities. The diagnostic criteria explicitly state that for ADHD or autism to be diagnosed, they must cause significant impairment in multiple areas of life. It’s not optional – it’s a core part of what defines these conditions. Disability is not a dirty word.

I'm disabled, my mind constantly attacks itself and impairs most aspects of my daily life. It hasn't given me some crazy good "superpower" like symptoms. We're not all mathletes with a photographic memory.
