For people who speak a second language, do you, and how do you think in your second language? I'm learning technically my 3rd language and want to think in it like I do my second language, but I don't even know how I learned to think in my 2nd. Maybe because I was more emersed in it, this time I'm more on my own?

12 小時內	Aditya Jagadeesan adiogenese	I think in English and Japanese all the time. I believe it just happens when you use it more often and reach a certain level. The same goes for the languages I’m learning but I believe a certain level is required to think in it such as French. This also leads to dreaming in other languages.
18 小時內	Myriam Lemonnier mymi.lemonnier	I often think in my second language (English) while I am using it and for a while after using it. If I read or hear something in English, I’ll surely think about it on the moment using that language. But if right after I hear or read something in my first language it switches back, and I don’t really notice it. I guess I started to think in English as I stopped needing my first language as a bridge to understand its nuances and concepts.
