The Romans had laid the foundation for the European drive for Empire-building already, when Christianity became a thing. And everything changed when what was essentially a small Jewish Messiah-cult was adopted by the Roman Emperor Constantine in 312, and was changed into the religion of the rulers. At the Council of Nikea the Bible was collected and edited by the so-called Church Fathers, and the new religion shaped into a tool of patriarchy and imperialism. 🧵2
