Whether he’s playing a lovestruck intellectual (Call Me by Your Name), a moody space prince (Dune), or an awkwardly whimsical chocolatier (Wonka), it’s all slight variations of the same thing: artsy, brooding, soft-spoken Timmy. And Ryan Reynolds? At this point, he’s just playing Deadpool in every movie; fast-talking, sarcastic, & self-aware. He’s great at it, but let’s call it what it is: branding, not acting. [1]
