Tomorrow will be a year since Aaron Bushnell self-immolated in protest of the genocide in Gaza. I feel like I understand (to some extent) his feelings of desperation and his need to protest in such a way. I'm constantly grappling with the reality of living in this world where we allow constant horrors - the genocide in Gaza of course but also so, so many others. (1/2)

幾秒內	Ali in.response.for.palestine	Someone posted that question: "what radicalized you?" and their response: "no, the real question is what desensitized YOU?" And I feel like that's part of what Aaron was trying to point out with his "extreme" form of protest. I put extreme in quotes because even he pointed out that his self-immolation doesn't do the genocide in Gaza justice, and the genocide in Gaza is only one piece of the ongoing madness in this world. When will we all collectively stop sleepwalking? (2/2)
