The mother of the foster children I have is getting upset that I am involving her children in doing chores in MY household.. I personally feel like these kids should know to have these living skills in their life. Sh says they never had to do chores and that’s just not my problem…. I’m not doing no harm to them and they earn allowance every week so I don’t see the problem

8 小時內	lvnbks lvnbks	Didn't you have training to be a foster parent? Of course, it's perfectly OK for those kids to do chores as long as they are fairly distributed and appropriate to their ages. Why would you listen to birth mom? If it wasn't covered in your training (which would be really alarming) then you should have a caseworker you can go to with questions.

9 小時內	Mary Casey gamedevbarbie	As long as they’re normal age appropriate chores, then I personally see regular chores as a positive parenting behavior. At some point your child will probably be someone’s roommate and you want them to not be the one they all move out and leave behind.
