People who have made working out a lifestyle how did you get started? I’ve drastically changed my eating habits but I want to work out as well but I am struggling to find a rhythm at home and the gym! I literally have no motivation to work out but I know I need too bc I’m out of shape even though I’m smaller please help!? I need something practical

Start by adding a daily walk. Before committing to the gym commit to the routine. While walking try habit stacking. Binge on a podcast or book. Use the walk as a boost of mental energy. I have lost 65 lbs and kept it off by starting with the walk. Once that routine is built add in 1-2 days of strength training

I got a walking pad and I walk on it while I watch tv. The same shows I’d normally watch sitting down now distract me enough to get through the cardio session 🩷

First, it needs to become a natural part of your routine. I go straight from work to the gym. I don’t even think about it anymore. It’s just what I do 5 days a week. My actual routine once I get to the gym has changed drastically over the last 5 years. That’s normal. As you learn, you adjust and do better.

I’m not sure if anyone has said this already but how I started when I was not feeling the gym was finding activities I enjoyed. It’s all about getting active so it doesn’t necessarily have to look like a “traditional workout. I would bike ride, roller skate, dance videos, swim etc. I just found things I liked to do that didn’t feel like exercise. May try walking and to add some spice jump rope before after or in intervals. Hope this helps 😉

I don’t use a gym. I started by going to the park and I started walking for 20 minutes, then increased by 10 minutes, gradually increased my speed, and aim for 2 miles a day, roughly 38 minutes. I did that for 2-1/2 months. I just added in a dvd workout by Jillian Michaels that I have been doing on Facebook live every night this month at 6pm central time. Hand weights and floor mat recommended but not required.
