I used this term when I didn’t feel comfortable to say Autistic other than that particular circumstance I haven’t found the term useful

It's a cutesy name given to a serious condition. Autism isn't just being quirky and liking chicken nuggets. It can be a daily struggle. Self diagnosis is valid but I feel like more and more people label themselves autistic without knowing what it is to be autistic.

I use it to refer to myself and the neurodivergent community generally sometimes in casual contexts, and I'm fine with other ND people referring to me that way. Ditto my ND-savvy friends. I'd feel weird about NT strangers calling me it, though.

Despise it

I don’t mind it when I’m referring to my household.. or a group of autistic/adhd/audhd people.. I feel like the label “neuro spicy” as a group is pretty accurate cuz truth be told, with a group of us, you never know what you’re gonna get.. Such a wide variety of variants. Does that make sense? 😅 And I don’t want to 💩 on how it makes other NDs feel, but I don’t mind it. I am neuro spicy. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Having audhd is a constant struggle of both sides of my 🧠, so it always feels a bit spicy up there 🥴

I'm fine with it and often use it to refer to myself (AuDHD, C-PTSD) It's a good umbrella term.

I have no issue with it because it’s not just Autistics that are neurodiverse. It’s ADHD, Autism, Audhd, ocd, tourettes, dyslexia etc. Neurospicy is a very broad term.

not autistic but but still jot neurotypical. I just think it's cringe.

It’s better than being neurobland 😏😏

ironically by my friends or an autistic person is fine, otherwise it's just weird. feels demeaning.
