My health insurance policy is supposed to cover my newborn for 60 days from birth before I need to add them onto the plan. I find that I cannot choose the start date of the insurance on day 61 for the baby. So I call @aetna . The person informs me the baby insurance expired after 30 days since birth. I inform her birth is considered qualifying event. Again tell her to read the policy. Puts me on hold. Comes back and tells me they can’t do that before the insurance is added back for the baby. Online it said life events gave you 60 days...I called on day 29 to find out it was actually only 60 days for birth and marriage was 30 days. I was SO LUCKY that we snuck by because I literally had my calendar marked with day 40 so I had plenty of time
